Sacha Celine Verheij wins the talent show! Organized by Museum Maluku and Indisch Herinneringscentrum, the professional jury – Yvonne van Genugten (director IHC), Henry Timisela (director Museum Maluku), Esmay Usmany, Dje-Rimo Holle and Yasmin Diktaş – and the audience chose the winner together.
Sacha, our co-founder, wins a place as artist-in-residence at the Indisch Herinneringscentrum and a performance at the National Theater on August 15. Sacha is a spoken word artist and photographer. As a queer maker with Surinamese and Moluccan roots, she explores the forgotten stories of her family. During her performance, she combined spoken word and family interviews with music by Francesca Vincentie and Alfian Emir Adytia.
